Image hosting and management

ammonet ImageServ - server-side image manager - easy upload, automatic optimisation for fast download, management by visualisation of thumbnails, easy renaming, adding, deleting, crop and resize of images. This application is also integrated into many of our content management systems, allowing simultaneous management of the text and image content of your website.

We have just released ImageServ, our server-side image manager. This application comes with 75 MB of disk space (enough for 1500 50 KB images) and has three principal functions:
1) it allows you to upload and store images for access from any listing service that supports image links - notably bibliophile.net of course, but also other listing services such as Bibliopoly, eBay and your own web site.
2) it allows you to optimise image file size (KB) for rapid download by your viewers. Optimisation alters neither image dimensions (pixels) nor image quality. The crop and resize tools allow you to trim unwanted areas from the image and to change its pixel dimensions.
3) The full URL of the image is displayed in a text box from which it can be copied and pasted into your book, map or antique management database or any other application. This includes into e-mails to customers requesting an image or a browser URL entry form for upload elsewhere - to Amazon, for example.

In addition, ammonet ImageServ allows any image to be viewed from your admin zone as a thumbnail or a full-sized image. Directories and subdirectories can be created to organise your images, and image dimensions, file sizes and upload dates are all displayed.

ammonet Business Account holders can create users who have their own separate image management login and admin zone.
